Seeking an intern for 2023!
NMG is seeking an organized, kind, independently-driven person to help out with the preparation, correspondence, and general production of NMG2023! We need someone to help with inbox wrangling, data entry, and spreadsheet wizardry – someone who will take an active role in our ongoing conversations about how to best serve our musicking communities.
We're looking for someone who:
Has strong organizational skills and a reliable, independent work ethic
Can accommodate working within the structure of firm deadlines
Is fluent within G Suite tools (gmail, gcal, google docs, sheets, etc)
Is fluent within social media platforms (FB, IG, Twitter)
Is comfortable with the mechanics of remote meetings through Zoom
Is knowledgeable of and passionate about a music-making community
Is comfortable with and excited for organizing production details and conducting ongoing conversations with a wide diversity of music makers and thinkers
We'd be extra-excited to consider someone who has experience with one or more of the following:
Live sound production
Arts documentation (recording/photography/etc)
Producing live events
Graphic Design / Editing
Will require an average of 1-2 hours of work per week
Will be entirely remote until June 2023, when physical attendance will be required from June 20-June 25, 2023, in Portland, Oregon. (Travel expenses, if accrued, will be covered by NMG during this time)
Will offer a stipend of $1500
Will span from early January through early July, 2023.
